FAQ
How does matching work?
We match three couples for dinner every Thursday based on answers to our personality algorithm. The algorithm considers factors like interests, dining preferences, and social style to create balanced and fun groupings. You’ll be matched with couples that complement your dynamic for an enjoyable night out.
Can I choose the restaurant or date?
We take care of the restaurant and booking, but you’ll have a chance to suggest preferences beforehand. If you’re open to trying new spots, we aim to surprise you with a fun and unique venue each week. You’ll also be able to vote on the restaurant or suggest changes if needed, ensuring it’s a good fit for your group.
What should I expect at dinner?
Expect a relaxed and social evening with two other couples. It’s a great chance to connect over food, conversation, and shared experiences. We create a vibe that encourages natural interactions, so you’ll be able to bond with others in a casual, enjoyable way.
What is the 'single set-up' event?
Every Tuesday, we host ‘single set-up’ events where two couples each bring a single friend to set up on a blind date. It’s a fun, no-pressure way to meet new people and potentially make a romantic connection.
What if I can’t make it?
If you can't attend, just let us know as soon as possible. We understand life happens, and we'll do our best to reschedule you for the next event. If it’s a special dinner, we may try to match you with another group the following week.
Is there a dress code?
For Thursday dinners, smart casual is the way to go. For our Tuesday set-up events and monthly mixers, the vibe is more relaxed—feel free to dress casually or as you would for a fun night out. The goal is to be comfortable and have fun!
How do we connect after an event?
After each event, you’ll have the opportunity to rate your experience and, if you wish, request to connect with other couples or singles. If both parties agree, you can exchange contact information and continue building the connection.
Is there a cost involved?
There is no membership fee for *On The Town*, but each couple covers their own dinner or drinks. For mixers and events, there may be a small entry fee to cover the venue and refreshments, but this will be clearly communicated in advance.
